Kenilworth castle 900 years of thrills

Kenilworth castle is protected by the surrounding marshes and sits on a knoll in the heartland of England. There is not much known about its early occupation but earth and timber is what the first castle was made of. Henry I in 1122 bestowed it as part of his chamberlain, Geoffrey de Clinton’s estate.
